# Circle Timer — FAQ

## Is Circle Timer free?
Yes. Every feature is free with no signup.

## Do I need an account?
No. The app works immediately in your browser. Goals, alarms, and settings are stored locally.

## What does Circle Timer actually do?
It visualizes the current time as concentric rings — Year, Month, Week, Day, Hour, Minute — around a live seconds sweep, and bundles an online timer, stopwatch, world clock, time-zone converter, Pomodoro, goals, and alarms.

## Which browsers are supported?
Any modern browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and their mobile equivalents.

## Does it work offline?
The app loads in the browser; once loaded it continues to render time without a network connection. Alarms only fire while the tab is open.

## How does the Pomodoro timer work?
You set work and break durations, hit start, and the app cycles through focus and break intervals with a chime and session counter.

## How accurate is the world clock and time-zone converter?
It uses the browser's IANA time-zone database via `date-fns-tz`, so it reflects current DST rules for 23+ supported zones.

## Where are my goals and alarms stored?
In your browser's local storage on the device you used. Clearing site data removes them.

## Will alarms ring if the tab is closed?
No. Keep the Circle Timer tab open for alarms to fire. Browser notifications must also be allowed.

## Are ads shown?
Yes, non-intrusive Google AdSense display ads keep the app free.

## How can I contact the team?
Visit https://www.circletimer.app/ — contact details are available on the site.
